I understand your point, but it could be the difference between it being the highest attended Rugby League International match ever, or not.

If they have sold 74k tickets (for instance) then I don't have a problem with them announcing that much regardless of whether 2or 3K don't turn up.

Getting up at 3.45am for the airport bus and the last leg of a very memorable autumn. Can't quite fathom why people would buy a ticket and not go, and it will be a shame to see a load of empty spaces. But the money is in the bank, which is the main thing.

I hope everyone enjoys the day, I intend to.

I can confirm 30+ less sales for Scotland vs Italy at Workington, after this afternoons test purchase for the Tonga match, £7.50 is extremely reasonable, however a £2.50 'delivery' fee for a walk in purchase is beyond taking the mickey, good luck with that, it's cheaper on the telly.

I have 2 tickets for tomorrow if anyone wants them. I'm still going, but I bought ours ages ago and have since been given some as my daughter is part of the medal presentation team so have them spare.

So it is officially a new World Record and it looked packed to the rafters! Our merry band of little neckerchief wearers thoroughly enjoyed the occasion too.

In 2009 we couldn't even fill the DW for England v Australia. Now over 140,000 fans have watched international RL in the space of 7 days.

That is more than watched the whole of the iconic 1990 Ashes series. Wow! Fantastic platform to build on.

If England were in the final I think we would of seen the best advert for Rugby League but today was stale sadly from last week but still an ok final.

Well done to everyone who bought a ticket to any of the games or who persuaded their mates to come along; without YOU this tournament would not have been such a success.

Sad to say that mate is in Queensland and he was watching the Newcastle A-League game today and didn't know about the final.

This seems to go against the themes of your other posts. And why was he watching an A-League game at 3am :/

I've loved the entire tournament, but most of all I've loved the fact that we've all been proved to be wrong about the crowds. We've had half a dozen sellouts, and we've shown that if the game is marketed properly then it can draw the crowds. The doubters within the game need to realise that there isn't a lot wrong with the product, it just needs to be sold properly.

I noticed yesterday that practically the entire Stadium stayed behind to watch the trophy presentation.  That doesn't happen at the Grand Final, its half empty within 30 seconds of the hooter usually!

That's because its a later kick off and the pubs may be shut if you don't leg it.

Can we promote Sally Bolton. I would live to hear her review of the tournament and her memories of it.
