Some people. All they do is bang on about their sodding bands.

Your a miserable sod.

Bit of a woosh there perhaps?

Off to see the Beat in November, never seen them live before, think I may be doing a bit of foot tapping at the very least.

With Halloween coming up I decided to go to my local fancy dress shop to see if I could get a Dracula costume. After a few minutes the assistant handed me a Hull KR shirt asking "Is this suitable?", I replied "I think you may have misheard me, I said I wanted to look like a count."

To be fair, we've no problem hearing about the good ones.

Where at? Our kid's band supported them at Sheffield Corporation earlier this year.

They're still going ? Saw them as first support band to Human League (proper line up, not with the 2 'ladies') at Lyceum in 1979.

its mainly the original members (saw them a while ago) main difference is ranking roger is now the main frontman with his son in the band- dave Wakelin tours the usa with his band the English beat

You bin there? I've heard it's a bit of a dive so I might enjoy it.  :)

Several friends of mine are going to that Beat gig and keep asking me to come along. I might now. .

Get yourself there, a TRL "Beat meet up" could be in the offing then.

Sounds like it has possibilities.

Deep Purple tonight @ The Apollo. MCR.

What did you think of Gillan's Liberace jacket during Hush? I was going to do all their UK shows, but I didn't make it to Glasgow yesterday. Wilko Johnson's refusal to die as promptly as the doctors said meant I was back in London to see him instead.
