To avoid any confusion following the message about the cancellation of the event in Walkden library last week, this message is to inform everybody that my event is still going ahead on Thursday (October 17th), starting at 2 p.m..

I will be talking about how Rugby League was a major inspiration helping me to write five novels all based in South Lancashire between 1962 and 2003.

For more details about this event and others being held right across Lancashire and Yorkshire visit the Try Reading website.

www.geofflee.net for news of my novels, One Winter, One Spring, One Summer and One Autumn, all written against a strong Rugby League background, set in South Lancashire and inspired by the old saying about work: "They could write a book about this place. It would be a best seller".

I have now just had my fifth novel published. It is called "Two Seasons" and has a background of Work, Family, Old Friends and Rugby League during 2002 and 2003.
