BREAKING NEWS : We are pleased to announce IAN MORT has signed for BARROW RAIDERS. A full back and goal kicker who played in Australia last year and has played for Leigh and swinton. Welcome to the Raiders Ian.

Am pleased with this signing, always looked a good player when I've seen him. A specialist full back too.

That's a key position sorted.
I wonder if he will take over as the goal kicker too? 80% strike rate! that's pretty impressive.

Morty is an excellent kicker and decent all round. For me his only down side when he played for us was getting the team on the front foot. Good signing for Barrow, wish him every sucess.

He's from Cumbria so Haven won't want to sign him and he won't want to sign for Haven.

Morty is a great lad. Much better full back than winger and a sublime kicker. He can run the length of the pitch with easy deceptive pace.

Maybe we can convince Ade Gardner to return to his roots, since it seems his time at Saints is coming to an end.

Also, just seen that Batley have signed Lee Patterson from Fax - that would have been a great signing for us had we gone for him. Anpother good goal kicker who knows his way to the line and is solid defensively - would have provided options at fullback, wing and centre. Oh well
