Bloody hell Doug , you're looking forward to the meal ? I thought it was " Lords the caterers ", an oxymoron if ever I heard one. I've paid for the " meal " but i''ll be taking some sandwiches I'm afraid.

Have had to look up the meaning of the word oxymoron. I was unaware of of its meaning.
I have been called a moron a few times. Ha Ha.
That's the trouble when your school was an approved one.
Now let me see if I can find that book that tells you which knife and fork to use.

Hope we can sign some (or all ! ) of the Fiji side and continue the history.  Seems like a great day for Rochdale - aside from the score!

I think it ended up 0-78, but they are a very big outfit that will trouble lots of teams in the World Cup, maybe even England?!?!!?

The beef on the pitch was as good as the beef pre match.
A very enjoyable day and congratulation to all involved for the organisation.
The Fijian players song after the match was fantastic.
I am sure that the Hornets lads are glad that they don't play them every week.
Oh and by the way intelligent and me never go together. As I said my school was so good it was approved.

Awesome day, despite the result!
The players that turned out in a Hornets shirt gave there all, a couple of players there I think might be worth having another look at.

Fantastic meal, Hero's of Hornets induction session and finally what a privalidge to see the whole Fiji Bati squad perform there traditional hymn in the bar afterwards, a real emotional moment.

Shame the players presentation wasn't a bit better attended but I think everybody can be excused this after a long hard season a holiday is the very least the lads that were missing deserved.

Off the field I belive we are in good shape and doing thing the right way.
Well done to everybody involved and long may it continue

That was a top day out and we ended our season on a high in spite of the score line. I take my hat off to the guys who pulled on a shirt for us today, they must have known they were in for an ###### kicking but they stepped up to the plate. Typical of the spirit in the camp these days. The Fijians did us proud both on and off the pitch. They played some stunning running rugby with the ball in hand as well as being the most friendly and charming guests at the end of the game. The Fiji team singing in the bar after the game was a once in a lifetime experience.

The whole presentation- Heroes of Hornets section of the afternoon was really well done and a worthy tribute to the stalwarts of the club. This is a great idea and I look forward to next years batch, there's plenty to choose from. I'll get my nomination in early, Apesi Toga, for me the greatest Fijian of them all. I also liked the way several members of the board did the introductions, that kept it interesting.

The whole event reflected great credit on the club and particularly our back room staff. We seem to have acquired an outstanding group of people in every position behind the scenes. It's not a coincidence that our on the field success has arrived at the same time. We need to hold on to each and every one of them.

Finally, even Lords the caterers didn't let us down. My sandwiches remained in the car uneaten.

I echo everything that has been said. What a great display of talent (The Fiji team wasen't bad either) Joking apart, what a multi talented side they were, they could even sing as well, brought a tear to my eye. Well done to the board and all the boardroom staff for a brilliant day, Thanks, it was appreciated by everyone.

The only criticism I had was the choice of colours. Why didn't Hornets wear their home kit?
