Don't know what the aim is here to be honest. Only recently the various leagues met together as one (in the north west)

Hope this blows into nothing. Last thing we need is another divide in the game

Given the feeling surrounding how this has come about and the manner in which it has been done, it's fair to say that it has probably driven some fairly significant wedges between both committees and individuals within those committees.

Which makes it even more disturbing that members of one committee would go against members of another committee which they also sit on and are part of!!!!

What are the two different groups take on the Operational Rules, summer rugby, winter rugby, do they differ at all?


Carlsberg don't do Soldiers, but if they did, they would probably be Brits.

I can see merits either together or apart. The main issue with this is that it appears te 13-15's have done this without approaching the 16-18's. This is made even stranger by the fact there are people who are on both committees.

Not aware of any fundamental differences of opinions. Both run seasons at the same time.

David Gent has stated that no league can offer competition to an age group where another league already offers competition without complete agreement between the 2 leagues. We certainly don't have agreement here.

 

Margret Byrne has written to Hilary Steel and banned anyone from the 16s - 18s management committee from attending tonight's meeting with the under 15s therefore removing the 16s - 18s right of Reply

Seems a bit harsh after all the running about the RFL have done behind BARLA's back to induce teams/leagues to go to summer, if these leagues have not signed up to the operational rules how can they stop teams/leagues from adding a new age group or going wherever they want?

13s - 15s Signed the RFL's memorandum of understanding which see's them adopt the operational rules so it is those rules that actually bar them from doing it.
