England performed better than some expected.

They were punished hard for errors and but for those would have been in with a good shout.

Aussies were OK. i thought England forwards acquitted themselves well against a talented opposition. having said that so did the backs really.

Just a few errors of judgement and lack of composure at key moments made the difference.

Australia made their share of mistakes under pressure too.

Was Inglis playing? Apart from that trademark leap for that first half bomb when he set up a try he hardly raised a sweat.

England can take heart from that performance.

Discipline on the field was a bit lacking today.

Still not a bad run out.

Sinfield needs to polish his kicking up. JT looked much better today despite one or two slips.

Found myself preferring to listen to the Premier Sports commentary team. They were a fresh combination that look tohave set a good standard, nicely balanced in both judgement, experience and humour.
