Been thinking about the halfback situation.

The only sidestepping dodger we've got is Elliott Kear.  He's been making excellent yards all season for the Bulls and he's only about twelve and a half stone wet through.

Why not give him a go at standoff with Lloyd White scrum half, Peter Lupton at hooker, Christian Roets at centre and Rob Massam on the wing?

So go from Seamark and White who barely have a decent kicking game between them and replacing one and putting a talented winger with no kicking game in instead.

No go from me I'm afraid mate especially in a must win game.

1. Evans
2. Kear
3. Lloyd
4. Roets
5. Williams / Massam (can't decide)
6. Webster
7. Seamark
8. Kopczak
9. White
10. James

11. Frizell
12. Patrick
13. Flower

14. Lupton
15. B.Evans
16. Fleming
17. Dudson

Fair enough, but Ian Webster and Matt Seamark were pretty anonymous in attack last weekend.

Back in Peter Fox's glory days, Bradford Northern had great success with Dave Redfearn doing in-game stints at both winger and standoff.

Dave didn't have an outstanding kicking game either (he left that aspect to his brother Alan) but he really was a player.

Short turnaround for USA playing Wednesday then Sunday as opposed to Wales who will have had 8 days. Hard to see anything but a Wales win.

It's time to park the camels.

Hoping the USA and Cook Islands really batter each other on Wednesday.

I'd be surprised if Ben Evans didn't start; had a cracking game on Saturday against Italy and made something ridiclous like 46 tackles or something...

I'd still go with:

1. Kear

2. Massam

3. Roets

4. R Evans

5. Williams

6. Webster

7. Seamark

8. Kopzack

9. White

10. Patrick

11. Evans

12. Frizzell

13. Flower

14. Budworth

15. James

16. Dudson

17. Lloyd

Me, with my granddaughter.

We're sponsoring Rhys Williams and meeting the players afterwards.

Heading down for this game on Sunday after a double helping on Saturday.

Now set up as a massive game as a USA win would put them in pole position to make the QFs.  A must win game for Wales to stay in the competition.

Wales need everyone behind them.

Myself and Mrs Griff9of13 will be there. Went to the Wales vs Australia game there in the last 4 nations and really enjoyed the experience, so back for more.

Short turnround for the USA should give Wales a comfy win.

Try the Turf Hotel next to the Racecourse, they have Premier Sport and I would imagine there would be no problem with the landlord putting it on. Walford - the soccer game isn't anywhere near Wrexham!

In answer to your question is anyone going to this game - its looking close to selling out, so if anyone hasn't got their tickets yet - best get them soon.
