On the 18th October we were informed discussions were in a dllicate position. When they started who knows. We have now lost several players, numerous have not been contacted for weeks. No mention of a coach. No information,no coverage in the press. IS ANYBODY THERE.

 IS ANYBODY THERE?

The answer to this little question is one word with two letters - the first letter being 'n' and the second letter being 'o'.

How long will the RFL wait to see if we get any funding before it kicks us out. They have to get the fixtures arranged.

Getting any funding - and more to the point, the right sort of funding - must be a challenge given the number of bridges that have been burnt over the years, especially if it's suggested that the "investor" has to work with Messrs. Kidd and Kidd and not replace them. If there was openness and transparency then the whole process would be easier, although not without difficulty.

What does investment look like? Is it a buy-out? If so what assets are there? What are you actually buying?

Is it an investment in the company? If so what do you get? A seat on the board with voting rights, or membership of a talking shop?

How is the shareholding divided up? Does the investor get a stake or will Blue Lion Investments come along and buy 90% of the club for tuppence-ha'penny, making your investment worthless? If you get too bolshy, will the club be taken into administration unilaterally and your shareholding worthless?

There are plenty of supporters, or consortia of supporters, who would invest, but what are the terms of reference here. The hint that the investment is to see out a "cash-flow" problem doesn't sound like sense in the long-term. I'm sure these sort of issues would come out in any negotiations, but the custodians of the club do not seem to be doing themselves any favours at all with their cloak and dagger politics and "thou must doff your cap" attitude.

disques vogue

The club where Eurovision isn't a dirty word. A waltz through the leopard skin lined world of Tom Jones, Bert Kampfert and Burt Bacharach. Step out to the sound of the happy hammond and swing to the seductive sounds of the samba.

DJ's, raffles, cocktails and wide collars. Please dress smart. Gentlemen might like to wear a suit.

Same price. Same music. Same rubbish prizes.
