I can't see what he brings to the team plaing at 7. His hands just aren't good enough to play there and he lacks pace, he made a break on sat and looked like he was running on quick sand. burrow at 7 for me

Yeah he is not quick enough to be a half back would have Widdop myself and he is too small to be in forwards but Mcnamara will never drop him seeing as he made him captain

I agree james. If burrow had played sat with his pace and go forward we'd av blown ireland away big time

Yeah he did nothing on Saturday didn't he! Not once did he put a man through a gap, not once did he break the line, not once did he get a scoring kick....

what more do you want from your half back? Yes he's slow but chase is there for the off the cuff and speed/backing up, not that its needed when you have Tomkin, Watkin & cudjoe who are all excellent at supporting a break

To be fair I don't think whoever is at half back will matter Cronk and Thurston are different class no in our country is at their level sadly

I agree, I thought the same, and Burrow should be at 7.

Having said that , I don't think Rangi Chase is good enough either at this level, yes just OK against Ireland, but  not when we play New Zealand or Australia when we will be found out again.

Sinfield isn't a 6 or 7 ! He's not even the best 13 around , so how does he get in the squad ? Would go with Widdop & Burrow in the halves

This is why we never win as all England coaches select players that are big names at there clubs not because they are the best at a certain position. If Sinfield is the best English 7 in the country he would have the shirt at Leeds. Burrow is by far better than him but he won't play him there We will learn one day

Sinfield isn't the best 6 / 7 / 9 / 13 in this country, and I'm sure he'd confirm that himself, but there's no better leader / captain / kicker in the British game, and he'd be in my team every time!

Compared with Foran / Johnson, and Thurston / Cronk, we are weak at  half-back, and that's where we'll struggle, but................

Born optimist that I am (and that comes easy being a Swinton fan) I'm hoping beyond hope that we can pull it off at Wembley on Saturday!

COME ON ENGLAND!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

"--- and then on the eighth day, God created Rugby League."

Daily, my intense dislike of the Pinks, Rugby Yawnion, Manchester United, and far-right politics, grows ever larger, and will continue to do so forever more!

Question! What's the connection between Rugby League and Rugby Yawnion? Answer! There isn't one!

My girl-friend asked "If you had to choose between me and Swinton who would it be?" I replied "You know the answer to that one without even asking!"
