Aren't Rochdale and Hunslet run by the fans?
A supporter run club sounds good but in our case is not viable, the reason being our fan base is not large enough. In the case of Fc United they had several thousand behind them when they split from MAN U.As for the #### as Greengrass so eloquently puts it .I believe it was there supporters club that asked Koukash to try and help us as we were one of the only clubs that helped them when they had there troubles so I wouldn't start spitting bile to soon. Any help at this moment in timeas got to be looked at seriously beggers can't be choosers and as for being a feeder club ALL semi-pro clubs are feeder clubs to the super league who can step in and take the best players any time.Examples being Chris Hill Leigh to Warrington and Walmsley Batley to Wigan .Superleague clubs have taken the cream since its inception so if Koucash was to invest in the lions and could make us a force to be reckoned with in the championship and we retained our identity I certainly wouldn't complain about being second fiddle toSalford. My only stipulation being that he was serious about the Lions future as well as Salford.

In reply to Dummy Scissors, yes the Trust are playing a part in this, I've been in contact with John Kidd, but I'm sorry I can't really say anymore. Things are delicate to say the least.
And Duffymooon is correct re. the above.

Its always the same, totally cloak and dagger. If the trust had stood up for their legal right during the last club restructure then this situation may have been avoided.

In Fairness Barnie....if the trust are to get involved now it is right and proper that until there is something worth saying then the trust committee is right in saying nothing. If something transpires along the lines of a supporters run club then surely it need to be set up correctly allowing the club to move forward with confidence.

The most precious asset we have is RFL membership. That needs to be protected at all costs, and yes the board has to be open with the fans. A new club outside what we already have is not the answer in my opinion. Once out we'd never get back. Ask Bramley fans.
Wise words as usual from Steve ('ask Bramley fans' very true)
