"It is impossible not to feel a twinge of sympathy for Workington Town, the fall guys this season for the Super League's determination to retain it's European dimesion, in the shape of Paris. While the French have had every assistance to survive, the importance of having a flagship in a heartland area like West Cumbria has been conveniently forgotten." - Dave hadfield - Independent 25th Augsut 1996.

Don't forget this match kicks off at 8pm IN FRANCE that is 7pm here.
Chuffin' 'ell - thats the 2nd time I've settled down at 7.45pm ready for the game, and missed most of the first half.
Who said take the games to France? Cracking attendances though - 2 sell outs deserved the third France game to go there.
1st half was a bruiser by all accounts and the ref wasn't good
Don't forget we will get Penerara as ref in the final if we manage to beat NZ in the semi, though they are favourites for me

More grear work from the muppets at Red Hall, If England progress to the semi's at Wembley they kick off at 1.30pm. You couldn't make it up as they say !!!! And why a 2.30 kick off for the final ? must have something to do with strictly !!
Can't see the logic in having England as the first semi - let the atmosphere build to what is likley to be the closest of the 2 games.
1.00pm ko according to the RLWC website and then 3.30pm for the 2nd game - no interference with Strictly whatsoever, except if the BBC then ramble on and praise England for a good hour afterwards if they manage to beat NZ, which won't happen, there'll only be time for a couple of comments before the transmission ends.
Its probably because any later kick-off will interfere with Final Score and Pointless. You'd think that given the success of the World Cup that the BBC would be more accomodating
