Rumours on Swinton forum that they are on the verge of folding. Sincerely hope not.
Former All Four Cup Winners and a club with a proud history just like ourselves.

Things may not be as bad as people are saying.Talk of new investment is beginning to come to the surface so all is not lost for Swinton just yet.

Swinton is nearer and he will no doubt look to making them ground share with Salford whilst using them as a feeder team. Hope that is not the case and if it is Swinton fans fight it.

I think he wants to buy all the clubs in the Manchester area ( Salford, Oldham, and  Swinton ) , to make one super club say called Manchester Red Devils. This looks the more likely to me.

Can assure you all, as a long time Lions supporter (from 1957-58), we will not be forced by ANYONE into becoming some other club's feeder team. Slight chance we may have to share Salford's atmosphere lacking and soulless stadium to begin with till we finally return to M27.

It's a strange world when what Wayne Rooney spends on motors, would keep Swinton afloat for a few seasons.

Hope it all comes right for you guys......
