No brainer for me - it'll put the average up, entrench the sport even furthering png, an investment in the future and the reality is sport is an economic driver even if it would be modest in the first instance.
PROUD TO BE A MEMBER OF http://www.rugbyleaguecares.org/ and http://www.walesrugb...-wales-for-2013
Predictions for the future -
Crusaders RL to get a franchise for 2012 onwards -WRONG
Widnes Vikings also to get a franchise - RIGHT
Crusaders RL to do the double over Widnes and finish five places ahead of them -WRONG
Widnes Vikings NOT to dominate rugby league in years to come! STILL TO COME

I promise to pay 10 to the charity of Bomb Jacks choice if Widnes Millionaires finish above the battling underdogs Crusaders RL. I OWE A TENNER!

I believe the stadium will have the capcity to hold 20,000 people too...

I thought the hosting rights haven't been granted yet.

It is interesting that RL is taking place at the Pacific Games for the first time in 2015. The event runs from 4-18 July so don't know how many players will make themselves available etc. Here are some details about the Lloyd Robson Oval renovation. It mentions 25,000 seats..

Would make sense if the numbers stack up. Would love to go to PNG to watch a full international. This article assumes that NZ & Oz will win the right to host the 2017 World Cup. That hasn't been confirmed yet, but is a pretty safe assumption, as the other bid is from South Africa.

Its not wrong way to go about it, if they wanted to host their own pool games then they should sat down with the Aussies and Kiwis and put in a bid together. The country still has some way to go to fix its economy, crimes and poverty.

That could be said of any country.

For me at least one PNG game at home would be great.

Imagine the launch weekend with a game in Sydney, Melbourne, Perth, Brisbane, PNG and New Zealand.

That is the kind of thing we should be aiming for. I hope the Aussies are more ambitious after the successes of this RLWC.

Hopefully we'll see at leaste 1 game there in png with a good stadia going to be in place reckon they could pack a 20k plus crowd which would be great for the game, with a png side in the 2nd grade next season hopefully we see some real progression from png and a possible World Cup game would give the nation something to really look forward to and build for
Thumbs up for me great for the international game.

If Australia get the right to hold the 2017 RLWC i hope that they let PNG play all their group matches in PNG.
