The footage at the end of that marvellous clip is of the game against Australia on November 18 1973, the official crowd was 5,659, more than double Castleford's crowd for their game against the tourists. From memory we rested one or two players (Billy Harris replacing Vince Farrar is one switch that's obvious from the clip, unless Vince was injured at the time, and one or two others like Cyril Kellett and Mick Smith). The move that we scored the try from in the first half had produced a try at Wembley earlier that year and remained a Rovers staple until well into the 1980s, indeed at one stage whenever we got inside the opponents' 20 for some years our whole attacking philosophy seemed to be to set up the position for Dave Hobbs to get the ball from 5 yards out, and it seemed to work more often than not. The last footage of the Youtube clip is one of several instances of foul play by the Australians that culminated in Paul Sait being sent off by referee Sam Shepherd.
