What are you basing this on, who have NZ played that has vaguely given them a game?

No point going through it with you, you've made your mind already. I was also thinking about the effort in the corner for one of Australia's tries too. He was lucky to put Hall in for some of them tries, his first decision was to go for the glory himself, he was lucky the defence wasn't better or he wouldn't have been able to get it out to Hall.
He has all the skills in the world, but his decision making is way off where it needs to be.

So he was lucky to be able to have the strength to ride the tackle and skill to make the pass to put his winger in unopposed? Yeah. Ok.

And v the Ausies do you mean the try just before half time when Perenara moved Burgess to the wrong side of the scrum leaving 3v2?

At least I've based my thoughts on watching the game with an open mind

Sorry Ant but your assesment of you basing your thoughts 'with an open mind' does just not sit true, in fact most people would believe that you have got quite an obsession or should that be a fixation for Leroy, you do come over quite juvenile with your comments on this topic.

That was against an Australian team that used the game as a warm up.

You build into a series and England still have no idea who will be on the Bench and what part Widdop will play or even why he was selected in the squad.

Why should it have been five tries he was ruled out.

I've seen plenty of weaknesses in the Kiwi side. Sure at times they have looked brilliant especially now they have a good 7, but Scotland and Samoa both made plenty of yards against them.

Teams have also done ok out wide against them and that is an area where we are strong with Hall as top scorer.

I think this is a 50:50 game as it should be at this stage. Should be a cracker.

I agree.

Its hard to judge teams against the smaller Nations, you do not know if they are picking their best side or playing in top gear for the whole game.

How many times have there been games where a team racks up 40 in the first half and then only 4 points in the second half, foot comes off the gas.

we scored 4 tries against them at wembley in 2011...what was the excuse then?

ps meant could have been 5 tries...not should have...george burgess was millimeters away

Yep you're right.

The right hand edge of the Kiwis has leaked a few tries , which is surprising since individually they have good defenders in Whare and RTS.

So they're not gelling as a unit.

The other problem they have had is not coping with teams that run it on the fifth tackle , the kiwis are too dialed into defending kicks , PNG got a couple  of try's that way.

I'd rate the chances of both teams 50 : 50 as well.

Englands biggest weakness isn't their playing selection , it's the ill discipline and frustrating errors from what I've seen.

I am not going back through every game or making excuses for any performances.

I am just pointing out that it was Australia's first game in a long time and several players had not played for weeks, some call it rusty, how did England do in their warm up match?

Its a shame that the top teams only meet infrequently, England should have put everything into that first game and the task would have been so much easier.

Fiji will give a good account of themselves.

There is always the chance the winner of England and New Zealand may play their final next week and have no Juice come the final.

Now Brough isn't doing owt can we get him a fake moustache and some tattoo sleeves? Then we'll have a chance!

It's all about the kicking game, and I think this is where we'll fall down.

1. S Tomkins

2. J Charnley

3. K Watkins

4. L Cudjoe

5. R Hall

6. R Chase

7. K Sinfield

8. J Graham

9. J Roby

10. C Hill

11. S Burgess

12. B Westwood

13. S O'Loughlin

14. R Burrow/G Widdop

15. B Ferres

16. L Mossop

17. G Burgess

I think it'll be a test too far where the 6, 7 and 14 are concerned.

I think you are right, I hope you are wrong though.

I forgot to add, I think England have the measure of New Zealand in the forwards however we are prone to making silly mistakes. And if we're constantly penned back in our own half these will be more damaging.

But don't under estimate the affect the crowd will have on this match.

Last WC we had mark calderwood and ade gardener on the wing.

Well that's cheered me up no end, that's a frightening wing partnership if i've ever seen one (from an England perspective!)

Winner of Eng-NZ will win it all...

I'm confident of beating NZ

The key will be stopping the offload of Kasiona et al. Charnley & Sinfield for France's 1st try were weak. None of that arm tackling nonsense. For this reason, Burgess, S will play in the second row.

Stop the offload and you stop Luke jumping out of dummy half.

A concern i have (more so again Australia) is that we're constantly short, 3/4 defenders in we're jumping in too much. Could be costly again Thurston
