Aussies not being childish, honest!

"Our newspaper coverage will simply refer to "a 27-year-old English medium pace bowler", and we will de-identify any images of him."

Looking forward to the Ashes(even if it is overkill) and we should celebrate a sport in which after all we do beat the Aussies.

That makes Premier Sports look like a coup!

Well bowled Stuart Broad, I listened to TMS for a couple of hours after my gig last night.

Boycott (and most of the rest of TMS, to be fair) in full-on anger at some very poor English play.

Broad is carrying this team at the minute.

Let's hope Boycott doesn't hit anyone this time.

Awful performance overnight, I drifted in an out of sleep and had the wireless on throughout.  Boycott's usually right.  Yesterday he was saying let's not get excited until we've posted a good score, and we don't have a good record of doing so in the first match of a tour.

England's first innings in 'away' Ashes, and especially at the Gabba are rarely worth writing home about.

Still, a poor performance.

Shocking. They were even shivering against Nathan Lyon.

Well, I knew our luck would run out and this series wouldn't end up like last summer, but I didn't expect such a disastrous start. The wheels have come off and we've been thrashed.

What on earth has happened to Trott? Other batsmen look lost too. Swann was hammered.

Awful, just awful.

We can come back, as the Aussies are in truth a mediocre team. Im not sure we will.

Vaughan on the radio and Trescothick on the TV have been very good in analysing where Trott (and others) is being got out.  It's worth digging out what they've said.  I'm warming to Vaughan on the TMS panel as he seems to have gone from not wanting to offend is old buddies to feeling like he can have a go - and he's starting to be good at getting the points across.

Feel a bit sorry for Carberry.  The rest of the batsmen should hang their heads.

I'm trying to keep a lid on it, but these things have a habit of becoming common knowledge.
