Now the serious stuff (ODI / T20) has started it's jarring to think that for the first time in history a 13-0 clean sweep of the Tests ODI and T20 series is a distinct possibility. Australias' fourth estate - The dogs of Sport - are in crowing mood already.

I kinda discount this as I believe the T20 side matches up against anyone but after Sunday Morning my confidence level is about the same as Captain Cook's batting average....

Being an outsider, it is easiest to see what is wrong with the sport. It's a fantastic sport that has been undersold and under-marketed  because people who run it probably want to keep it the way it is

It's beginning to look like we might actually win a match here! :O

The one good thing about the current England side in Australia is that you don't have to worry about spoilers in the news when you wake up in the morning.

Anyone who worries about excessive power grabbing in Super League should take a good look at the latest ICC revamp, which basically cedes control to India, England and Australia and the rest have to live off the crumbs from their high table.

Totally madness , rich boards trying to grab even more money.

I haven't heard about this.  In theory I'm happy with anything that clips the Indian board's control but I doubt it's as simple as that.

But in happier Ashes news - the women battered the aussies at the MCG and so now lead 8-0.  With 10 more points available they only need 2 to retain the Ashes.

I've just watched a clip of Oz claiming a catch that clearly hit the ground first. After all the fuss in their press about Broad!  The Aussies really do take the biscuit where hypocrisy is concerned.

Which is what Broad did. That catch, and the one where Warner got off the hook, were the umpires responsibility/fault. As was Broad being given not out last year.

End of story, move on. I am getting fed up of players pointing batsmen back to the dressing room. Johnson, Clarke and Warner have all done it and seem to have escaped any kind of censure. Pretty soon there will be a fight on the field.

Get his dad on the field. Then we'd see those Aussies suddenly become awfully polite. ;)

Did we?

I switched off when it was in the balance and just assumed the worst.
