I heard the amazing sound from Headingly earlier in the tournament but most England rugby league crowds seem a little flat. Wouldn't it be great if we could unnanamously get behind the lads at Wembley and produce an amazing atmosphere!

On that note can anyone tell me the best England chants/songs?

One of the downsides has been the flat atmosphere at England games. I'm hoping we see different tomorrow.

It'll be different at Wembley. All the true England RL fans will be there, as well as the newbies. This is important, and we know it. No point sitting and just watching. We've got to help our boys over the line. We're the underdogs and we're not going down without a shout.

I anticipate a fantastic atmosphere for as long as England as are still in with a shout.

Just like the Wire lack a few signature tunes, I can't think of any decent England songs to be honest.

We'd certainly want to avoid the 'Chariot' one (doesn't fit our sport).

Sod it - let's adopt the 'underdog' theme from this World Cup - it's spurred on a couple of teams so far ...

"Oh-oh-oh-oooooh, oh Samooooa"

"Oh-oh-oh-oooooh, Papua New Guinea"

"Oh-oh-oh-oooooh, oh oh ENGLAND!!!"

Petro! Petro!
We love you!
You used to play in Green and Gold
A dirty Kangaroo

But now you've seen the light above
You're now with Bati men
So smash them up and send them back
Oh Petros back again!

Sir Kevin! Sir Kevin!
Englands number seven!
Watching him in red and white
You'd think you'd gone to heaven!

Chalk another four points up
Cause Kevins got the ball
Have you seen his kicking game?
This Rhinos got it all!

Stevie Mac believes in him
So thats the end of that
Despite each and every Aussie loss
He'll always be our boss!

So come what weather come what may
Kevins here and he shall play
So shout it loud and sing today...
Arise Sir Kev!

Thats all folks! The coach has arrived now!! Woop woooooop!!!!

Chants, what are they really about?

I suppose it's about us fans having an opportunity to make a difference for our team, trying to spur on the players to better performances. You sometimes hear players speak about the crowd and how they can lift their spirits and give them extra enthusiasm and desire to dig deep into their reserves.

I think it's also about patriotism and producing a feeling of togetherness. Building an atmosphere improves everyone's match day experience. Sometimes as fans can feel a bit self conscious if we're the only ones chanting in an area but I think today is different, let's us TotalRLers be the ones to get behind our team vocally and drag the rest of the crowd with us!

I'm going to be unashamedly Northern today.

I'm going to roar and clap when the boys come out

I'm going to boo the hell out of the kiwis at any opportunity

Every flat pass by a man in black I'm going to scream forward whilst ignoring any similar passes by England

Every shoulder high hit by New Zealand I'm going to berate the ref for a high tackle in between screams of "geremonside" whilst every over the top brain farts by our bennie & co I will applaud a textbook tackle.

Sometimes I think the English are too embarrassed to be over the top patriarchal and to wait for something to set them off.

Balls to that, not today, today we lift our boys we don't wait for them to lift us.
