Following from Cas website (have a look at the picture) - looks like he needs

some Championship 1 games to me.....

Castleford Tigers is delighted to announce that 18-year-old Will Maher has become the first player to graduate from the RFL Regional Academy programme after signing a two-year professional contract with the club.

The towering Cumbrian prop impressed the Tigers' academy coaching staff while he was on a Player Exchange deal in July, which came after he was identified as a player who had demonstrated good behaviours, high levels of consistent effort and adherence to the Regional Academy programme.

If Hunslet need any Rhinos to top this league then there's something seriously wrong looking at their current squad

Probably don't and really don't want to use them and  by the sound of things won't be getting any. So why are you so negative about your own team before a ball has been kicked. Do York need to team up with Castleford considering you have a much larger spending budget than Hunslet just to come probably second is this due to someones bad judgement when signing players on .

And what do you know about our playing budget?

There's no way Maun, the Coyles etc come in cheaper than the young lads we have signed & Marchy will still be costing more than half of our squad put together

Quite right I have not got a clue about your playing budget but you would assume with your home match attendances being much larger than ours you would have a larger playing budget!

The rest of my previous quote was just a wind up to get some sort of response from some other York supporters as it seems both yours and our forums are quiet at the moment.

Anyhow roll on next season and does anybody know when the Challenge Cup starts and who is in it at the beginning.

Your right - need to keep our respective forums going

Think our teams come into Challenge Cup in round 3 on Sunday 16th March,

not 100%, but think York Acorn play in the Cup on 2nd February

Just in case people have missed this:

YORK City Knights have swapped the dates of their home and away games against

London Skolars in Kingstone Press Championship One.

Coach Gary Thornton was due to take his side to New River Stadium in the capital on Sunday, May 4, but that trip will now be made on Sunday, July 6.

Meanwhile, the Huntington Stadium clash between the sides will be played on that May 4 date.

So we've only got 6 home games between the 11th of May and the 7th of September.

1 match in June, 1 in July, 1 in August and 1 in September...

Best find summat else to do.

Probably works out alright tbh. Problem with summer rugby is that it takes up your summer.
