"How are the choices made as to which teams play each other twice? Is there essentially a conference system hidden within the draw?"

Nathan McGuirk, General Manager of Football Operstions: "We don't use a 'Conference' system. We use a number of different methods including significant input from clubs on their preferred home opponents that their fans want to see.

"We try to maximise things such as local derbies and traditional rivalries as much as possible throughout the Draw."

Premier Sports TV (Pay Channel on Sky and Virgin) have the rights to show NRL in the UK.

Currently it costs £9.99 a month.

For that you get every NRL game in every round of the season plus the State of Origin games and the finals series includi9ng the Grand Final.

They are also going to show 32 live Championship RL games live over the season which includes games from the Northern Rail Cup.  31st January (Thurs) there's the Halifax v Sheffield Eagles game

They've just announced they are also showing the two days of the Auckland Nines comp on 13th and 14th of February.

How good is that?

On top of that there's a range of other sports too.

Glad to have you join us.

Cheers

G

Half way through the season already.

There were so many unpredictable results in the early rounds they caught many of us out.

We've now entered that part of the season that is heavily affected by State of origin selections and byes.

Expect the unexpected again!
