This brand of champagne rugby that Salford played was imho over-stated.

That season they scored 116 tries, 9th best in the league. Now that isn't bad for a team that only won 8 games all year, but the reality is that it is less than one more try per game than London and Castleford.

Hull KR finished one place higher than Salford and scored 16 more tries than them, yet people don't rave about their attacking performance.

Sure, Salford may have improved but they had a new Head Coach too plus many other changes from 2011 to 2012.

when was he in Lancashire?

I thought he lived in Greater Manchester, and played in merseyside?

Unless there is some unreported story you are aware of from his days With preston grasshoppers? ?

Think you will find both Wigan and St Helens are still in the county of Lancashire, just that some twit in the mid 70's decided they should be administered by a bunch of Mancs and Scousers respectively.

Yorkist trouble maker.

postal address is for the post office use, its a very poor argument! For instance St helens has a Warrington postcode which is cheshire....are Warrington in cheshire but again dont have a Cheshire post code?

How they organise mail delivery is irrelevant to the way the councils/gov operate....

Does GM police exsist or are they a myth? If god forbid you (or sean long)are arrested in wigan, what force would the arresting officer be from? Lancashire police? Merseyside police? Or GM police????

Not sure that you judge where a town is located on the basis of the police force that serves it. Kingston-upon Thames is definitely in Surrey, is the seat of Surrey County Council, yet is policed by the Met.

If Manchester isn't in Lancashire (or Liverpool for that matter), someone needs to tell Lancashire County Cricket Club that they need to change their name!

I'd like to wish wish him all the best in his new Job he did a fantastic job for the short time he was at Featherstone, helping ensure that we finished top of the Championship for the fourth consecutive year.

As far as I am concerned he was a great player, is a great coach.

Yes.

They only adopted the name, Manchester, when they left the city. Old Trafford has never been in the city of Manchester.

This thread is meant to be about the London Broncos, not debating postal codes. Any idea who these imminent signings are for the Broncos? Its hard to see them being anything other than a few loan players from other SL clubs and maybe a couple of fringe NRL players.

To be honest the lack of debate is rather down to the lack of things to discuss. The linked article about Longy is old and we've already discussed it. Broncos are believed to have around 12 players training but it's not clear who all of them are and so little to discuss.

Sounds like a good young player who can experience first team rugby and live in one of the worlds greatest cities, it's a win win for a young player like him.

Bronco's haven't confirmed this yet, am assuming confirmation will depend on a work permit maybe? either that or they are just being as useless with their communication as usual..

you are a marketing genius!! Change the name of an internationally known brand!

I see you have left Swinton alone! The joke of a club, they don't play in Swinton and are a reserve side for Warrington! They seriously need to get their act together sort a ground out and link up with Salford to provide them with players!!

I asumed it was Dave that they were signing.

Food shops all over the South East will be disappointed.
