Thanks Normyknight. Need all the positives we can get.

In the Salford Advertiser Luke Menzies was mentioned within the article about the players

This news has been on the Club website since last Friday I think along with the names of the other players signed so far.

Other forums indicate that Luke Menzies was on trial at Widnes this year, was offered a "full time" contract but had to turn down as due to finances. A good sign for Swinton it seems.

There is another interesting posting on the Club site today in which Ian Watson talks about some of the new faces in the squad.  Well worth a read.

Looking back into Aaron Henry he was a bit of a star at Doncaster back in 2010
Freddie Walker is probably being kept out at Halifax by our nemesis Ryan Fieldhouse.
Interesting times.

Looks like the squad is coming along nicely - shame no Smith or Ainscough in the line up..........:(

As much as I loved Ainscough as a player in the championship 1 winning season he never seemed to raise his game in the championship. Always lacked that true pace to make it as a Stand off. And no news of Smith what-so-ever to me says hes not made his mind up. I think if he had retired there would have been some sort of announcement... surely?

Im only smiling because `no-one`'s found the bodies yet.

I think the problem last season with Ainscough was he rarely started a game at stand off - was played in centre or switched to stand on occasion - as the DR players were preferred in the stand off role. So still think not having him is a loss to the team.................as is not having Smith there as well.
