JOIN NOW!!!!

This is a heads up on our forthcoming 2014 TotalRL Australian Rugby League Forum fantasy league competition.

It will be run on the same lines as last season.

We use the classic Super Coach format.

Currently it isn't yet up and running, but you can express an interest in joining the 2014 competition if you haven't been involved before.

If you have taken part last season then you'll more than likely find that by doing so you are already seen as having expressed an interest for 2014.

You can register or sign in here.

This is via the Telegraph.au link  which may be a bit more straight forward to use rather than the link I posted here previously.

I found I had to re- register this year even though I'd played last year.

I've just tried logging in just now, but like you I can't log in ... invalid username and/or password.

Maybe they've just put the front end up before sorting it all. Either that or it's a muck up.

I've got my team named and picked - at least in a preliminary form.

There's unlimited changes allowed before Round 1 gets underway.

I'm not sure if I've sorted things properly for entry to the league.

It's title is:

TotalRLSCLeague14

Code: 571733

I hope this works for you  by entering this code  and checking to see it is the TotalRLSCLeague14 Super Coach league for the 2014 season.

Someone please try and let me know if you can enter it OK with these details.

If you're reading this you are very welcome to enter and join in the fun.

The league is there with just my team in it (Melbourne Rovers) at the moment

TotalRLSCLeague14 (571733)

There was also an option to recreate last season's league and send out invites to all who took part. I did thios, but maybe entering TotalRLSCLeague14 (571733) is the best option for us all ??????

When you've come up with a team name and selected a full squad, there should be a tab that says Create/Join a League.

When you go there you can then enter the 6 digit league code 571733

Yes, that's what I did, and what I found too.

Great that you are back Stoney.

Yes, on checking, you're there in the league :-)

If you struggled with the previous joining link, I've found this one:

http://www.dailytele.../nrl/supercoach

I had to register again this season despite having played last season.

Finally got in and gone for some wildcards. One player I will be hoping gets some game time is Cameron Munster from the Storm. Spent a day with Jason Hetherington and Central Queensland Capras in 2013 and this young kid was very impressive! Assistant Coach at Capras Damien Seibold has got him to go to the Storm where his Brother Anthony Seibold is assistant coach. Munster can play at Fullback or Five Eighth.

The way the pricing of players has moved I also have thrown some wildcards in - I certainly couldn't just pick the same team I finished with last season!

I guess that's a good thing in some ways.

The challenge is to strike a balance.

The few days after the teams for R1 are announced and the round kicking off will be crucial for making changes needed if some of our new talent isn't given a place in the team to start with.

Good to have you back with us LRL.

What a great sidestep Munster has... and pace!!!

SuperCoachLeague201401_zpsce423be0.jpg

As well as Kev (Roverandout), David (Thatcham Rabbitohs) and me . Its also welcome back to Stephanie (Stephanie's Rhinos) - great to have you with us from the start of this season.

Good to see Si there again too with his Muenchen Storm - good to see we've agreed on a kit design Si and that we've varied the colouring from each other just a tad.

All welcome whether you were involved last season or not.

We were a full league of 20 teams last season so please do get in there asap.

When the occasional NRL game is played in Perth it seems to attract a big crowd. I remember that watersplash game a couple of seasons ago. What impressed was the quality of the rugby played in shocking conditions.

My first Wembley final was when Rovers played Barrow in 1967. That was a great day out. Barney (Kev) 's dad played in that final.

I remember Eddie Tees and Mike Watson for Barrow scoring, but Tommy Smales had a great game and it was Featherstone's Malcolm Dixon who received the cup from the Queen.

I found this Pathe News piece on the final well worth watching!

Just found this - that Perth game was of course in 2011 and it was Rabbitohs v Broncos - R16 at NIB Stadium, Perth

Great stuff, wet or what? Remarkable.
