Left a trail? How did they do that?

Some kind of techy thing that showed up on the cameras.

The Board Cross, with six riders per race instead of four, and with a bigger course was, predictably, nuts. Great entertainment, and you know who's won without waiting for a panel to hand down an occasionally random-seeming score.

That's the way to do it! Really exciting.

Liked the Team Relay Luge , too, but why stop at two on one luge. They should keep adding riders until the whole team is going down on one luge!

Luge Sardines? I like it!

The boarder cross was great and I liked the 6 in a race over a wider course than the 4 that was standard in Vancouver.
GB lass was unlucky, lost a bit of speed avoiding a rider wiping out and was a few inches from a top 6 finish
Disappointed todays rides were off due to the fog

Back on today for the boarders, and some great stuff as ever. I'd love to be able to give it a go myself (not competitively, obviously) but I'm just not good enough on a board.

It would be more fun if they had an event where the crowd was allowed to throw snowballs at the skiers as they travelled down the slope.

Excellent start to the day with the men's curlers coming through their play-off against Norway with a balls-out last stone from Murdoch.

Putin's had Pussy Riot re-arrested.

...and now attacked by Cossacks with whips.

In other news, Bronze for the Women's Curling team, making a record 4 medal haul for GB, and with the Men's team guaranteed at least a Silver.

Hazel Irvine has just asked the Men's Curling captain "how do you practice for money shots?" BAN THIS SICK FILTH!  :rtfm:

Ice hockey, luge, half-pipe etc have been for me quite riveting. The curling competitions have been great, in my opinion, Jackie Lockhart  has been very good in calling the games, but Steve Cram has a lot to learn about when to talk (very little would be good) and when not to (most of the time, please, Steve),. In fact he's more or less ruined it for me with his  #inaneblather

The money shot with Hazel Irving would be for specialist tastes only.

So that women's hockey final wasn't too bad, then ...

It was a cracker! The Canadian women give off the same feeling as the Kangaroos, no matter the score they just always seem to find a way to win when it matters.

Astonishing stat from the commentators though, Switzerland won bronze with only 800 registered players. Both Canada and the US have over a thousand female referees, never mind players.

I've turned it off, despite it being teh final.  The whole of the curling competition has been  brilliant...and then Cram joined in with his inane blather and continuous talking about ###### all.. He needs to shut the ###### up and let us hear what teh team are saying. He needs to learn the value of silence in a commentary, a value that we would praise very highly in Cram. I've tried turning the sound off but then you lose the value of hearing the players and of Jackie Lockhart's commentary.  Jeez Cram gets on my nerves, Get rid NOW!!!
