Just read on twitter the game was called off due to water logged pitch ? Thought they'd spent money on drainage ? Might be wrong . Bet they're gutted . Not everyday you get Wigan at your ground . Hope they manage to rearrange

If it was off it's a real shame for Town supporters and for the testimonial.

Report in 'News & Star' confirms it's off.   It seems that their was a real effort to keep it on by both Wigan and Town.

Yes it was a big effort from everyone, but at the end of the day Shane Wane wouldn't jeopardise his players with the aussie game just round the corner, that's more important to Wigan in the long run, feel really sorry for their fans who turned up. Would have loved to see a good old fashioned mud bath but not to be, I suspect he might have played if they hadn't had so many 1st teamers in the squad. I don't think we will see the same players if it gets rearranged :( and it was drained last year for the WC, didn't look that bad to me, but if a team wont play on it there's not much one can do I suppose.
