Sounds like cash in hand work with no fixed pay day and no dealing with HMRC for tax and NI. Depends if you trust this bloke to pay you and you can get by with irregular pay dates and constant chasing to be paid.

Do you have an address for him? How is he planning on getting the money to you?

It is if you don't disclose it!

I get really annoyed about the bad English on here sometimes. It's I not A, that second paragraph in the OP makes about as much sense as an Aston Villa defence

If genuine, he has a serious queary to make.  It is not as though he is being lazy, just not great at sentance construction.

It sounds really dodgy like you might work a week for him and then he "forgets" to pay you but will definitely pay you next Friday. Do you have anything from him that shows that you are working for him such as a contract?

Anyone can make a typo, and not everyone is great at English, including myself.

Had I written your reply, I would have ended your phrase, "It's not an A,", with a full stop, and started the next sentence with a capital letter.

Then again, it's been almost 50 years since I left my Secondary Modern School.

Sounds shifty to me. I'd give it a miss personally.

Oh dear mate, would you sell something, a car for example to someone who you had only ever spoken to on the phone? Whose address you didn't know? And who you knew only as AJ?

No of course not, but you've sold your labour to him haven't you?

Personally I wouldn't do it.

But if I'd not worked since September and needed the cash, then if it was costing me nothing other than my time I'd probably give it a punt whilst still looking for something else, but certainly not a situation I'd be happy with.

As long as this work isn't something shady, that is.

Security work? Any chance you might get hurt? If so, where do you stand, insurance-wise?

I understand why you feel you need the work, but you need a clearer idea of where you stand if it goes wrong. And I don't mean just money-wise. Good luck with the job-hunting.

Have you really registered on an RL forum just to ask this?
Now then, it's a race between Sandie....and Fairburn....and the little man is in........yeees he's in.

I, just like those Castleford supporters felt that the ball should have gone to David Plange but he put the bit betwen his teeth...and it was a try

The real Mick Gledhill is what you see on here, a Bradford fan ........, but deep down knows that Bradford are just not good enough to challenge the likes of Leeds & St Helens.

This is a RL forum? Since when?

The lack of RU fans on here had raised a few suspicions.....

Indeed. Even if he was paying you a mere £5 an hour; 24 hours works out as £120.

Would you lend a £120 to a person you've never met and only know as "AJ"?
