Aberdeen Warriors long haul South to take on Pilkington Recs in the Tetley's Challenge Cup 1st Round tomorrow at 2pm started with the team bus leaving Aberdeen at 08:30 this morning.

The Scottish Champions were in high spirits and looking forward to their Challenge Cup adventure.

The bus journey will take approximately 7 hours but I have no doubt they will be ready come kick off time.

With only 3 years club heritage vs Pilkington's 136 years it was always going to be tough so despite the 46 - 4 defeat still proud of what Aberdeen have achieved in our short history and we now know where we really need to be aiming for. We'll be back. Meanwhile all the best to Pilkington Recs for the next round.

Great effort! Having used to play for Pilks, they are a very good RL club with a massive history; that is an amazing effort from Aberdeen. All the best!

That is a decent result against them, they racked up bigger scores in the league last year
