This looks an ideal situation for the fans of thye club to take it over. That has to be the future of sport, clubs run by the fans for the fans!

As I said on another thread

It clearly said the bulls had gone into and come out of administration
And was in the hands of New owners

After been hit with a 6 point penalty (for me justified)

Resulting with the New owners pulling out
and now been run by the administrator's while a new buyer is found

So their back in administration and should result in another points deduction

No, as the deal never went through they are still in the same state of administration, so only one penalty. Finding new owners is going to be the tricky part.

By the way DTID the RFL didn't bail out Bradford by buying Odsal but were actually very astute in converting the debt that Bradford owed to them into the leasehold of Odsal. Had they not done this then they would now be looking at an unpaid debt as distinct from owning a potentially valuable lease. When we had our problems we never asked for help from the RFL or anyone else, hence none was forthcoming.

The other original Bradford club were Manningham and played at Valley Parade. They eventually converted to soccer in 1903 and became known as Bradford City. The other Bradford NRU club indeed became Bradford PA in 1907.

There is no connection at all between either of these clubs and Bradford Northern, pre or post 1963.

Not one to kick a bull while it's down

But

They went into administration
And came out.. With the New board
which resulted in a 6 point deduction

My point

With the New board pulling out...

The club are in the hands of the administrator's again

So not wanting to sound picky

But shouldn't that mean another points deduction for going back into the hands of the administrator??

No. See the other thread.

Given that the likes of London and Wakefield cut costs drastically to avoid administration, it would not be fair to not deduct 6 points from the Bulls. They were deducted 6 points last time and 6 points this time, so no surprises there.

Piggy in a utopian society i would agree with you but in reality it does not work for various reasons . thirty years ago there were many members clubs in pro rugby league but now there are non . i suppose if the fans who ran the clubs were very wealthy then it would work ok but the game does not have enough money in it for clubs to be run by committees of loyal but non wealthy fans .

I would have thought this would galvanize
Their team to succeed in avoiding relegation

Its not 6 it's now 4

London Home and away its then 0

I fancy them to come third bottom above

London and Wakefield

;)

I would agree, provided that they don't lose all of their best players in the next few weeks. Someone has to pay their wages, after all.

Francis Cummins has already said that the vultures are circling his club and that he fears losing some players before long. There's not much that they can do to stop it if there's no money available and things are actually looking as bleak for the club as they were in 1963.

He means Francis of course.

The Bulls players are due to be paid today according to their most famous season ticket holder, Duncan Preston (as heard on R Leeds this morning). Wonder who is going to pay them and from which pot?

What are the terms of the Bradford-Dewsbury "partnership" (or whatever it's called) this year?

Unless I'm mistaken last year's deal would have allowed the Bulls to have first refusal on any up-and-coming Dewsbury player looking to make the move to Superdooperleague.

Do you think this possible this season?

At the rate the Bulls are going, we could be lending out some of our unselected players to help them out

Would that be a bad thing to keep them match fit...

Bradford as our feeder team... Who knows
