Apparently our preserve munching neighbours are featuring on 5 live after 4pm. Unfortunately for them it is nothing to do with rugby but because Copeland is the fattest place in Britain with 75.9% of people overweight!!

Feel free to text or phone 5 live to explain why our neighbours are such fatties. For my part I've already text Richard Bacon explaining their Jam loving tendencies!!! I imagine Woodsy will be keeping a low profile.

It's a joke before you all kick off!!

I see on the Haven forum the reason for it is all down to the Government, donald?

All this talk of poverty makes me laugh.    They were on TV the other night saying how the people on Beneftit Street were living in poverty and there they all were with plasma tellies, mobile phones, drinking and smoking and going to the food bank for grub!!!   And a mother laughing at her daughter and asking why she wanted to go and get a job?   Some people need to learn about getting their priorities right.

I've heard the bar at the Wreck is undergoing a revamp and will now be known as the JJ McKeown Salad Bar.

I didn't think that the standards on this site could get lower but Keith you really are doing your best. What the thoughts of  of an ex member of Thatchers militia  on the unemoployed have to do with rugby league is way beyond me.

Well said, the Tory party and Chan 4 set out to turn working people against working people and it worked a treat,Keith could the plasma tvs have been bought when they where having better times or do you think a giro stretches that far? Really?

I take it that you have an alternative opinion to me by your childish remarks about my previous employment, from which I retired 24 years ago, and in your rush to appear clever you failed to note that this thread is not about rugby league. Disagree with my opinion if you want but why the abuse , are you so insecure?

anok4u, the fags and booze wernt bought in better times tho were they .... surely if you are in that much poverty putting food on the table for the family is a much higher priority than smoking expensive cancer sticks or having a can of Tennants ????

No not insecure. Usually who are insecure lash out at any thing which doesn't fit there cosy world. I don't want to dragged into an arguement that I suggest you know little about apart from what you see on T.V. or read in the daily mail. Try 25 years on the front line against poverty and then see how you feel about it.

Oh and if you feel like banning me Trouty your too late I wouldn't soil my name anymore on this site

He he look what I've started!!

Well not wanting to stir the pot or anything but I happened to be in the wonderful district of Mirehouse the other Wednesday lunchtime.

First I called in at the bookies and it was chocka block with 20 stone fatties betting on Scooby Doo on a virtual greyhound race.

I then moved on to the shop where a single 14 year old mother of 8 kids spent £40 on scratch cards, then got 2 bottles of white lightening to go with the fish and chip lunch she had just bought for her and the kids.

From there I had a pint in the Labour Club which was like New Years eve it was so full, there was a bloke doing a roaring trade in LED telly's as he was selling them off for only £300 each and they were going like snow off a dyke. There was free hot dogs & jam sandwiches going, but I had to leave when this old lady started making advances towards me.

All in all it was a great day out, who needs to work when you have one long party. I have handed my notice in and selling up as I want some of that action..............
