What's the point of that? Have a captain and vice captain yes but why have 2 people making calls on the field ? I find that bizarre

No idea .Its the current fad in the game , to have a leadership group. Guys like Jarrad and Matty lead by example . It's not the elite leaders where the problem is . It's the depth of our elite ... That's why we needed more of an announcement than this . Hope this wasn't what we were waiting for !!!

No offence but it's starting to come across as whatever the club do people are going to whinge. We had joint captains last year so why not this, Matty and stack are our best 2 players so why not make them top of the tree. It's a nothing issue that warrants no complaints.

It's not the issues wonky , it's the triviality of the issues that we are getting to comment on. We get teased about major announcements then weeks pass by with just minor ones ... We will turn up , but what about the ones who aren't diehards who need encouragement . We all need something to fizz us for the season and as an attraction to grab us and get up off the sofa . We have a week left and hopefully it's still in the pipeline . Good players can step in quickly so fingers crossed . I agree though , this is unimportant in itself .

Confuses who makes decisions on the field. Why not have Lupton as captain as well then......or make all 13 captain! Senior players making decisions off the field isn't new, it's been going on in sport for years but there's no need for 2 captains on a pitch

Peter Lupton is player coach. It's good to have joint captains in IMO

Carter , Miller , Lupton , Matty , Coward , Jarrad , Big Brett and Olstrum . We need captains knocks from all these guys this season . The way it is at present our senior guys have huge leadership roles on the pitch .

Why make them all captains? I really don't get it.

Maybe it's been done like this because it will work best. Maybe Stacky will address the ref etc and Matty will make the on field calls. If it works and everyone is ok with however it works what's the problem??

Just creates confusion where it isn't necessary. Have a captain and a vice by all means but what if they have a difference of opinion when it comes to kicking a goal or any other decision for that matter? Do you see joint captains anywhere else?

How do you know it creates confusion?
The call for a kick a goal can come from the bench sometimes, so will that not do the same?
Do you not think they will sort out who's call it is for what scenario before they start??

Goes against the whole concept of having a captain that's all. Doesn't happen in any other sport though

Just dont know what the fuss is about having 2 captains, it seem to have worked ok last year, and as long as the the players are happy with it no bother at all.
