Could anyone who went to the match share their thoughts on today for those of us who, unfortunately couldn't make it?

Bit of a slog with the ground making tough going especially for the lethargic cougars who rarely vacated their own half of the field in the first 40.
We were dominant and did what had to be done.
Entertainment was severely halted due to the refs inability to control the game (new boy better suited to u15s) and the inevitable loose carries.

Attack wise I was fairly happy and the clean sheet spoke volumes especially after the cougars regularly recieved piggy backs up field.

An excellent performance.

Great defence, good ball control considering the dismal weather and some rather good try's - Leatherbarrow's was particularly pleasing.

We'll take some beating this year and I can't see many teams putting 24 or 30 points past us.

Leatherbarrow has an exceptional kicking game and looks the business, although I'm not sure who's going to be playing at 6 next week.

Some interesting decisions to make.

I agree with Terry. We were quite impressive today, particularly considering the number of interchanges we did.

I was sat next to Paul Anderson, and he left very impressed with how we completely controlled the game.

Interesting, as one or two on the Leigh forum think it's going to be rather easy for them next week! Did Black play, or is he out of the team at the moment?

No Black.

Not many missing today - JK gave virtually everyone a run-out.

Match report up shortly.

Excellent performance today and dominated throughout. Some great scores too. I thought Leatherbarrow, Davis & Leek were excellent

Was I right in thinking davis kicked in field twice in the game?

At least we are capable of a 40/20 now and then.

Pattersons conversions need more practice

He did. He played at 6 for a bit as did Connor.

Well, according to Leigh we've no chance this season, full of mediocre recruits and no momentum in pre-season. To say they've spent fortunes, they must be despondent that SkyBet have Dewsbury down as favourites (what a joke)due to their pre-season performances against quarter strength SL sides. Seem to remember they got beaten by somebody at Christmas, somebody who Leigh reckon have no chance. Consider a 20-0 loss at Saints, against a very strong side and a close loss in poor conditions with our Dr's missing against Halifax, that's a 50% success rate. What have Leigh done pre-season? Lost at least once, which makes them not a great dael better them us then!!

I find the attitude by one or two Leigh fans absolutely staggering.

Their triumphant march towards the Championship title seems well mapped out. Perhaps the rest of us shouldn't bother showing up this season.
