Halifax press reporting that they owe £65,000 in rent on the Shay.

Perhaps they should concentrate on paying the bills before paying the wages over there!!

Now now I'm sure everything is in order. They wanted to buy their ground recently.

65 grand down? What are they going to but the place with then? They probably pinned hopes on a Grand Final place last time to settle up, and somebody!! upset their plans! They should follow our lead, pay what and who you can afford but only after paying the bills. Too many other clubs both in RL and football have forgotten that it's a business when all's said and done.

i sometimes think that in this respect, life is very simple for us. We have our own ground so do not deal with rental issues. I get the feeling that for Halifax, there are a lot of political issues surrounding their relationships both with the council and the other tenants at the Shay. I suspect that there is a deeper issue than simply money owed, not in terms of them not being able to pay, but in terms of on-going ownership issues to do with current and future ownership of the stadium.

Its about time the rfl started rewarding clubs who can demonstrate sound financial management.

Rams and Dogs would be fighting for top spot ;)

But they do, by penalising those clubs who don't demonstrate such good management and go into administration etc.

Believe what you see, don't see what you believe.
