Doncaster Rugby League Club has already been ‘crowned’ a success even before a ball has been kicked in the new season.
The club has agreed a sponsorship deal with The Crown Hotel for the 2014 Championship season, which begins against Workington Town on Sunday (February 16).
Located in the heart of Bawtry, The Crown is a luxury four-star hotel. A converted former posting house, the venue has 76 bedrooms, along with a restaurant, bar and function suites suitable for conferences, meetings and weddings.
Doncaster RLFC will be working with the hotel during the year to offer packages for fans and teams visiting the Keepmoat Stadium, as well as weekend specials for partners connected with the club.
Craig Dowie, managing director of The Crown Hotel, said: “We are delighted to secure a partnership with Doncaster RLFC. The club is moving forward and looking ahead to an exciting new season,
“We already have a partnership with Doncaster Rovers which has worked fantastically well over the years and this is an extension of the hotel supporting Club Doncaster.”
Following the takeover of Doncaster RLFC by Rovers in November 2013, the club has been able to attract a number of new commercial partners.
Carl Hall, chief executive of Doncaster RLFC, added: “The Crown Hotel has a national reputation for delivering first-class facilities from a fantastic location in Bawtry. It is an ideal place for anyone travelling to visit the Keepmoat Stadium to watch a game.
“This partnership is the latest to be agreed with a range of local businesses. The support into the Club Doncaster brand has been great and by having The Crown Hotel part of that team will benefit all involved. It will allow everyone to raise the profile of the borough and the fantastic leisure offering this region has to people across the UK.”
