Two general pieces of information:

Match Officials for Batley.
Ref: G Stokes
Touch J: G Evans
Touch J: M Kidd
Reserve: R Dolan
M Com: T Randerson

Last season Keith T posted the RFL Town Home and Away strip requirements for each round. I thought it would be useful to continue the tradition especially when the Batley match requires Town to wear their home strip rather than the normal away colours.
Their alternative strip ( their away strip ) will only be worn at the following 8 league matches.

Round
4 BARROW V WORKINGTON
8 WHITEHAVEN V WORKINGTON
10 ROCHDALE V WORKINGTON
11 FEATHERSTONE V WORKINGTON
15 HALIFAX RLFC V WORKINGTON
17 SWINTON V WORKINGTON
19 KEIGHLEY V WORKINGTON
23 DONCASTER RLFC V WORKINGTON

Miller out with knee injury - hopefully just a knock as it was an impact injury . Fingers crossed for a bit of luck with that one . It's always the most important players isn't it !

Ideally Mossop but don't know if he's right yet? I don't like having our most potent players on the wing , not in our team , if it's not their set spot like Eliot . We need Brett and Tierney and the like in the game . We're not blessed with game breakers, we need them getting the ball . We could be getting near shifting Lupton to 13 , moving Brett to 6 , Tierney to 1 and having Olstrum covering Matty and Lupton on the bench . He'd still play long minutes and can batter tiring defences . Dunno. That gives you four playmakers including Tierney and maybe more creativity ? You're right though , I don't think we'll do much out of the box like that . We tend not to .

They won't have Mullally on Sunday as he's just signed for Bradford on a months loan

Super League loaning to Super League ... Should not be allowed . What an indictment on the league . Not very super really.

I wonder what the plan is with Rooney in the medium term ? He seemed to be playing as sort of an auxiliary prop on Sunday , doing hard yards and defending in the middle . I think it'll be a shame if we turn him into a battering ram ( with and without the ball !) so early in his career . We saw literally a few weeks of him out wide before his injury .. Surely he's got a shelflife as an edge player still ?

I just don't think it's right or is a good look for the game . They all get resources and time to build a squad . But you end up with some feeding off scraps from the stronger sides . Just my opinion . No real indepth reasoning . If they're built on such shaky ground there's something wrong somewhere .

Our best wing options are Miller and Tierney but on sunday I think we need experience and defensive solidity to stay in the contest and hope Batley get jittery thats why I would go with Jason over Haney

Was funny on Sunday when big Red stuck one arm out on his own line to try and intercept , and I said , shame he would have gone 100 and scored if he'd taken it ... And a wag replied ' nah he'd have got cramp on halfway !'
