Town playing very well.   6 - 0 up and just missed out on another try.   Batley knocked on attempting to score but Town defending well.

Carter (we think) scores in the corner from a Lupton kick and playing up the slope.  missed conversion 10 - 0

Batley score, converted from touchline   10 - 6.    Mossop scored Town's first try

 

Barrow 4 - Leigh 30.   3 tries in 7 minutes.

Batley score in the corner & coverted.   10 - 12   Batley have come out with more purpose this half, a mistake by young Tierney gave them a scrum in Town's 10.

Kick deflected straight in to the path of youn Leak and he scores under the sticks.  Another mistake by young Lever.   Batley now lead 18 - 16.

Batley in again.     Second time they have scored from our poor play on last tackle on attack.   Now 30 - 16 down

 

Tierney kicks out on the full from the restart and Batley have scored again under the sticks now 34 - 16 soon to be 36 - 16

Yes and ours really get punished don't they ? We are pros at giving helping hands and these teams say thank you very much. Good effort but bad luck . And worryingly our goal line defence can't nullify our errors .
