We'll the old cliche game of two halves.

First half we were poor, seemed to be battling the ref as well as Workington.
Second half much improved scored some great tries bombed a few too
Ali leek and Scott leatherbarrow were excellent really worked well.
All in all quite happy doggy fan today.

I think the team is still a work in progress. When we were good we looked very good, but we shipped some soft points esp first half. Still think we are OK for a top six finish and come the end of the season we will be a better team allround.

When we got our noses in front in the second half, the two halfbacks started to have faith in their ability and it was good to see them taking control of the game.
Let's not forget that we bombed two good chances in the first half and if those had stuck things wouldn't have been as bad at half time that they appeared.
Also well done to the Workington fans, a coach and two large minibuses was a great following considering their result last week.

And Patterson did well with the wide out kicks.

Paterson had a good game, as did Leak, Leatherbarrow and Greenwood. MoM for me was Nicholson though - we looked a completely different side when he came on and started speeding up the play.

Think the game changed when Nicholson came on in the 1st half.he seemed to add urgency to our attack and controlled things at the start of the 2nd,Along with our speed at ptb, hence the improved performance.
wish alex Rowe wouldn't get the brainfarts with the offloads on 1st tackle though.....

I feel much better than after last week, a victory and denying bonus points - so important this season.

Second half was very enjoyable, and credit again to our fitness levels, the forwards running far harder the longer the game went on. It's amazing that only. 4 of the 17 played in the grand final, it will take time, but I trust in JK. I can't see us really threatening the top 4, their resources far outweigh ours, but look forward to the bulldog spirit being built week on week, and the new lads buying into it.

Very impressed by Leatherbarrow today, always wanted to be involved despite a couple of wayward passes first half, looked stronger by the minute, good signs.

Greenwood is our most consistent performer. Turns in a performance week after week.

Did not expect that after a dire first half.Confidence lifted as the game went on and we looked like scoring everytime we had ball in hand.

We needed that 2nd half performance which hopefully we can take forward to next week.
