Pity, there are many squad members wanting a game.

Surely when the French sides pulled out they could have selected two of the sides who have postponed fixtures due to weather for a bye.

Pity they couldn't do a U-turn and let Sharlston in to face Fev, it would bring in the biggest gate of the round! Maybe they could get special dispensation as BARLA Champions?

BTW did anyone read Mick Taylor's letter in yesterday's League Express: Very amusing and well written. It gets right to the point regarding the injustice within the game.

Its a crying shame the fact that the suits in the RL have declined offering Sharlston,Drighlington etc a place in the C.Cup. Politically motivated in an effort to railroad clubs into the summer league.Clubs cannot afford to play summer rugby due to family and school holidays plus trips away at the weekends and in any case, why should they be browbeaten by the powers that be?. Having said that, I feel sorry for the clubs which they have allowed in, clubs which we have never heard of but with RU connections.. Its a long journey from Bristol to Hull. Another fine mess.
