You still  persist that the requirments for SL are a potential  minimum crowd of X number, and production of X number of Juniors, Desirable as all that may be, ( and i agree it is desirable ) Events are proving otherwise, There will only be 5 or 6  clubs that fit your bill, So what do you think A 6 team SL till some more get up to speed ? Except they won't get up to speed if they don't play in SL will they.

10 clubs investing £200,000,000 of SKY money would be up to speed in no time. Imagine 10 clubs all on big crowds all developing big junior scenes. Beats empty seats and importing players.

One thing that's confused me about the whole thing though, how can they use the Bulls' own money to buy the club?  I thought the club had about 2 or 3 pence spare rolling around the back of the meeting room sofas and that's about it...  If they planned to do it by debt, much like the Glazers did with Man Utd, who in their right mind would loan the Bulls any money beyond a payday loan shark?

The indication in Martyn Sadlers article today was the new directors wanted either the RFL to reinstate the withdrawn TV money or advance future monies from the TV deal.

The RFL seemingly called this buying Bulls with their own money, and did not care for the idea on the basis that the proposed new owners were not putting any money in themselves.

IIRC they declared they would not do that some time ago, but would run the club as many on here want whereby income and outgoings would match. i.e. don't spend what you don't earn.

If there has been a rich buyer in the background recently then maybe the RFL thought they'd just elbow these lads out, I don't know but Mr. Sadlers article seems to be a fair shout.
