I watched it the other night, Sandie Shaw singing "Long, Long Live Love" but they showed the rehearsal, presumably because the broadcast version had you know who on it, up to no good on air perhaps?

That might have been a one off? This is the shows that were broadcast this week in 1979...as live so to speak. It misses out when certain djs are on #yewtree

Edit: pedant corner. The Sandie Shaw song was called 'Long Live Love'. IIRC it was Olivia Newton John who had a hit with 'Long Long Live Love'

It was a hugely popular show. Why on earth shouldn't it have been commissioned?
