With both Russia and Scotland flexing their muscles and threatening to harm our supply of fuel and other important commodities I got to thinking.......
We should definitely start extracting shale gas from the Forest of Bowland, of course their might be some damage caused but as far as I can see no Rugby League stadiums will be affected.
Now that we are producing English Whisky we ought to set up a distillery on Walney Island, that could give a replication of the conditions that can be found on Islay so we needn't worry about the loss of that vital resource.
Am I missing anything here?

I suggest boycotting both whisky and vodka in favour of rum, closer ties with the Canary Islands!

But when Scotch land get independence, surely we can ' do a Russia 'and invade to protect the English population that are residents there.

Especially the English who are interned on those oil rigs, how big is the Scottish navy?

We have a potential Crimea situation with the nuclear submarine base and storage depot at Faslane Dockyard.

Obviously, up till now, UK Governments have preferred to keep the big radiation risks up in Scotland.

We could shift them to Hull instead....
