Just out of interest, does anyone know what happened to Mark Smith?

I spoke to him last year and he was contemplating another year but was unsure great player and true professional and a good guy

I know mr Barnes will disagree but the sooner Barlow is dropped the better we have better players like brown to take his position he is a liability and is cost us game, I've noticed we seem to give penalties away in our own half whereas we only get penalties in our own half aswel, think Burke is different class will be gutted when wire notice how good the guy is, one on ones he rarely loses, our right wing needs strengthening walker had good pace but bad positioning poss mainly due to Watkins playing practically in a props position at time clueless down the right wing

Think he will get his break in the near future thanks, superleague or somewhere else who knows,he'll keep playing well for the lions and these loyal fans

I have to agreed with you Kozzie I think Barlow has improved a lot from last season, also special praise for how in shape he looks from last season.  Must of had a good pre season.

It is going to be a long old season but I fully believe in Watto and honestly think he will turn things around, we have got a great bunch of honest hard working lads I fully believe in them.

In every side there are going to be weak links and we can learn from these, I agree Kash should be in the pack and not in the centre's.

If Kash went into the pack (and that may suit him better), then who do we have that can play in the centre?

Couple of years ago we had Armstrong  (from St Helens then to Sheffield and on to Leigh) and Adam Higson (from Leigh and back to Leigh) - and Leigh seem to be doing alright this year with those two!

Centre is often overlooked in the team but is vital in defence and attack - in attack they are vital to get the ball out wide, score and create tries and have good handling but without really solid defence they can cause the whole team to collapse. Need to the best of both worlds

Nanyn is a wily campaigner on the one side but the other is a problem

The size of Kash at centre should be a bonus

Seems to be a position where we look to Warrington too often this year and last.

Playing in the three quarters is a bit like being a goal keeper
You appear to be the one making the miss and are easy to spot doing so but the rest of the team have allowed it to get to that position

Playing centre is for me one of those specialist positions - and right now we only have one recognised centre in Mick Nanyn - please correct me if I am wrong - last season it did Ainscough no favours playing him at centre some of the time and stand off at others.

I went to the game as a neutral and I really enjoyed the match.

Great credit to Swinton. The opening twenty minutes suggested a one sided contest but if you could have capitalised on good field position towards the end you would have a win that the effort the team put in, rather than control of the game, deserved.

Too many lazy high tackles early on put you on the back foot and you looked weak in a couple of positions as some of you have commented on above. Right centre is most urgent from the evidence of Sunday's game. I was impressed with Brown, is he the guy you recruited from Queens. Made a significant impact when he came on.

Looking forward to attending another couple of your games this season, and hopefully some in a new stadium in M27 in the not too distant future.

Glad you enjoyed it XIII man.

We really need as many people through the turnstiles week in week out in order to keep playing at this level.

Please come along as often as you can......and sell the game to your friends and bring along as many others as possible!!!!

Everyone is more than welcome!
