I wonder if Darren Holt would come back as he is being paid for this year and has carried out the task required of him for the last 2 seasons :D

just hope we get on with it and don't drag it out over the press and tinternet for weeks and weeks like the last time. this is a mega important season with a lot at stake. get the man for the job asap and let the players bond with him or our season could be over before we know it.

all the best to Anthony murray.

i think the likes of him and goulding who never got the town job will also apply for barrow, both will be good coaches for you guys and probably affordable on your budget.

Now that is interesting,

Coaching career[edit]

He joined Rochdale Hornets initially as player-coach, and his playing career ended in 2005 after a biceps injury. He left his post at Rochdale in November 2005, citing frustration at the club's financial problems. During his two seasons in charge at the National League One club he had not had a proper contract, despite impressing and twice being nominated for coach of the year.

He rejoined Rochdale as a coach in September 2007[3] before departing again in May 2008.[4]

On 28 February 2009 Goulding was named the coach of the French National team.[5]

What has Goulding been doing between Feb 2009 and now?

If I remember right, he nearly killed himself after hitting a tree at 50mph then went into rehabilitation for drink an. d other stuff.. I do believe he now attends a AA meeting 3 times a week..
I think it was 2011 when he finished with France and during that time took them from 10th to 5th in the world rankings

He'll be back on the drink within a week at Barrow if he took the coaching job. lol

I don't think it was personally. Seemed more of a joke about the Barrow coaching role rather than Gouldings past.
