I'd let the lads who havnt had much game time start the game, we wont take these lightly but we should be far too strong for them. Barrow by 40+

The fact we seem to be struggling to score points is very alarming. Every Championship team who played an amateur club stuck at least 50 past them.

everyone expected barrow to run in a bag full today( I being one of them), I'm not sure what standard milford are but we really should be putting teams like them to the sword and even giving our fringe players game time and not worry about getting beat , last week against town we looked extremely short on ideas in attack although at time s we did move the ball around well ,but again without that killer ball I think were really going to struggle and make any head way at all in this league

Milford out enthused us all through the game. We had two breakaway tries and that was the only difference between the two sides.
Their two half backs especially the 7 ran the show, we were lacking in ideas.
I remain convinced that we have the makings of a decent side but we need more invention in the halves.

Spot on Ron. I've just got home and I agree with every word. I think 7 closely followed by 6 but I think their supporters gave MOM to 4.

The cross field kicking had us in trouble all the time and they seemed constantly quicker to react. Every time we moved the ball towards the right we seemed to reverse and go straight down the middle. Surely we must use the speed of Grant. He scored 2 tries without being given the ball.

I agree that 2 of our 3 tries were very lucky break aways. Grant & Mort were the scorers and Grant scored the other try.

We really seemed to carry on where we left off in the Town game. We must find a way to break determined and solid defences. Having said all that it must be remembered it was Milford's cup final.

Hopefully the new coach will get us throwing the ball about and scoring a few tries

I couldn't make the game on Sunday due to other commitments, but from what I am hearing and reading Marlins where more up for the game and played very well and could easily have won this game.

It sounds like Barrow continued where they left off in the Workington game in that we are totally lacking ideas in attack, but the effort and the makings of a potentially good side are still there.

Would those that were there agree with that?

Regards Penno.
