The Challenge Cup is coming to the Tetleys Stadium!

Dewsbury Rams have an early chance to get their hands on the Challenge Cup after the RFL confirmed it would be bring the famous old trophy to the Tetley’s Stadium for the tie against current cup holders Wigan Warriors.

The famous old trophy will be on display in the Royal Suite on the Friday from 6.45pm to 7.45pm and spectators with tickets for the Main Stand are welcome to come into the Royal Suite and have their picture taken with the trophy. Unfortunately it isn’t possible to do the same in the South Stand since logistically this isn’t possible and the RFL require us to keep it in the one location.

After 7.45pm it will then be moved down to pitch side by the players’ tunnel and both teams will emerge one either side of it to start battle.

Don’t miss out. Tickets now on sale!

I take it that south stand ticket holders will not be admitted in to see it before going round the other side?

Unfortunately not.

You would have to to get a ticket for the main stand I'm afraid.

Alternatively after the game we could keep the cup in our trophy cabinet as come towards the end of August it wil be ours anyway, therefore no need to transport it around the country. ;)

But I had heard that Batley are prepared to sell their cabinet as they can't see any future use for it.

We have had it confirmed that the Challenge Cup will arrive at the club at 6.45pm. Unfortunately because the turnstiles will have opened by then restrictions on spectator movements will have come into force and regrettably only supporters with tickets for the main stand will be able to see the famous old trophy which will be in the Royal Suite prior to the game.

We have discussed with the RFL how we could extend this to spectators in the South Stand but unfortunately it there isn’t a logistical solution which also complies with ground safety regulations.

Can those of us with tickets for the south stand get ito the Royal Suite or bailey bar for a bevvy before the match or are we stuck to the south stand bar??

You're not one of Gary's chums "off the moor,"  are you, Roger?

You seem rather keen to get your hooves on the silverware. ;)
