Can't seem to find the 'Swinton area' website on which local issues are discussed.

Can someone (duffymoon?) please post the 'link' for this website?

I'm on it, although I rarely look on it, my elder daughter got me on it with good intentions

So, once on Facebook, how do I connect with it?

What is the actual name of it?

That facebook site is "Swinton People"I was once a member of it but frankly there was far too many arguments and slagging off of one another,or there were one or two people on that group who were very enthusiastic with their digital camera and were happy to go round snidely in my opinion taking photographs of people just going about doing their daily business without their permission or knowledge and posting them on that facebook group, often with some snide comment(s).Fair enough taking photos of landmarks,I have no objection to that and posting them on facebook,or even in the case of Swinton RLFC the players in action on the field of play and putting them on facebook, that is fine but taking photos of individuals snidely without their permission is something and posting them on facebook/social media I VERY strongly object to,and that was my cue to leave some months back, and I will not return to it either.

Thanks Rob, the gasman

No problem,I am more than happy to help and until things change,if ever they do in that group,I would advise people to steer clear from it.
