I wouldn't bank on it pal. Maybe back in the good old days at Central Park. We (Swinton) played Wigan at the JJB in the Challenge Cup quarter final in 2003 and only just over 5,000 bothered to turn out even though the Lions had a big following that day. So much for the biggest name in RL. That season we made peanuts in the Challenge Cup. When we played Wigan at Central Park in the 1st round of the Challenge Cup back in the ‘60s over 31,000 went through the turnstiles to witness a 15-15 draw with almost the same numbers for the replay at Station Road (Swinton won)

The "Challenge Cup"? Should be seriously renamed the Super-League-Only Challenge Cup as even the gutsiest Championship clubs (semi-pro) are annually put to the sword by these grossly overrated fully pro clubs with their finely tuned athletic robotic players, very few of whom know anything about the game in terms of footballing skills like they used to when the sport was all on the same level (semi-pro) prior to the takeover by the adherents to "all things Australasian" who sold their rugby league souls to the big paymasters (Sky etc) just entering the game.

Steady on old lad we don't expect miracles just a bit of income to help our club progress we all know what the outcome will be but everyone's looking forward to it so I do hope for a good turnout not the Alamo.
