After high viewing figures for some of the SL games so far I've been waiting to hear if Leeds vs Saints continued this trend. Does anyone know the figures?

It didn't made the top 10 for the week in the official BARB figures - football made up the entire top 10 for Sky Sports 1.

The BBC's Damian Johnson tweeted on Monday to say that "Yesterday's exciting #RL Challenge Cup tie between #huddersfieldgiants and #sthelens attracted peak audience on BBC2 of nearly a million"

And some people still want other channels to take RL away from the BBC. No other channel would get the same viewing figures.

The BBC figures certainly puts the arguement against them into perspective. Its just a shame that they are televising games that probably get half the attendance a league game would between the same teams.I certainly notice the difference in atmosphere at the respective games.

And that was on BBC2 which routinely gets lower figures than BBC1, where the next round is scheduled to be shown.  Hopefully the Leeds-Saints game will be a cracker.
