Bryce, Kev Penny has scored tries in HIS last ten matches, which is indeed an impressive sequence. But in terms of club records the sequence is broken by the fact he didnt play against Gateshead & York. The club record is 9 successive Swinton matches, and is shared between Jack Lewis (17 tries in 9 games) in 1900, and Derek Bate (13 tries in 9 games) in 1986.

Hiya Steve, Derek Bate, yeh what a great player he was back then for us. one of my top players looking back. My good mate of that time's dad used to work with him and ive played cricket with him. great player and very nice bloke too. good old days eh. more to come hopefully!!!

Thanks Steve, so it's likely that Penny scoring tries in ten consecutive league games is indeed a record?
