Come on then, anyone dare make a prediction?

Might be relatively scrappy but I think we'll see a reaction from the Dewsbury game.

How can it be possible that he's gone back to RU when he's signed a contract for us? Without him that means going back to a makeshift centre again, I can't understand thinking, or rather lack of it, which is going into this season's campaign. I thoroughly understand the restrictions we have as a club financially and that we can't go out like Leigh, Halifax and Featherstone and flash 5ers all over but there doesn't appear to be a structured approach to a season which is the most important for 20 years. That said, to the question in hand: Whitehaven will bring no more than 50 fans so a poor crowd of around 480. Scoreline- bearing in mind that they lost 34-0 at home they will be looking for a reaction just as we are from Dewsbury. Seeing the result v them here last season we will be nervy. Win the toss and play uphill first, defend the slope whilst we're fresh, because they should tire later on after the long journey. 24-10 ish, hope I'm wrong and we really open up, a good win over somebody will put the confidence back, the players aren't as bad as some seem to think or as bad as they think they are.

Josh Griffin has not gone back to Union, he has committments for 2 weeks that were in place before he signed .Club  were aware when the negotiations were taking place to get him to the Mount (sorry LoveRugbyLeague.Com Stadium)
